THE INTERNSHIP WAS A NEW LEARNING EXPERIENCE WHERE I CONTRIBUTED ON A MIX OF INTERESTING PROJECTS. I FEEL THAT I DEVELOPED SOME KEY SKILLS, WHICH WITHOUT THE SUPPORT AND WILLINGNESS OF THE TEAM TO TEACH, ANSWER EVERY QUESTION AND GIVE HELPFUL INSTRUCTIONS-WOULDN’T HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE. FURTHER TO THIS, I SAW FIRST-HAND THE POSITIVE TEAM CULTURE (WHERE PEOPLE ARE GENUINELY INVESTED IN EACH OTHER), WHICH MAKES WORKING AT MONTAGU EVANS UNIQUE AND EXTRA SPECIAL.

Our two year Graduate Program is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working directly alongside Partners and other senior colleagues across the business.
From day one, your team will value your perspective, give you real responsibility and rely on your contribution.
Over the course of four rotations through our various Agency, Investment, Valuation, Rating, Management and Development teams, your knowledge, skills and experience will grow, preparing you for a successful and rewarding career with us.
The structured training programme will allow you to gain experience across a range of departments with comprehensive support from peers and mentors, building towards the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and MRICS qualification.
If you decide to go down the Surveying route, you will go through 4 different 6-month rotations in our different departments. If you decide to go down the Planning route, you will remain in the Planning team for the duration of the program.
We build strong, high performing, diverse teams by recruiting a variety of people with different experiences – personality above all is valued so bring your best self.
For Surveyor and Planner applications, a minimum 2.1 degree obtained or predicted in a RICS or RTPI accredited undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
For Heritage applications, your course may have put you in line for membership of the RTPI and our APC candidates have a high pass rate due to our mentoring system. Alternatively, your qualification may be more suited to IHBC membership. In either case, we look for:
- Practical and relevant work experience.
- Commercially aware and astute individuals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A genuine desire to pursue a career in the property industry.
Our graduate scheme vacancies will be advertised on our Careers Page and LinkedIn. You will have to submit your application, along with your CV and cover letter before the closing date.
We follow a two-stage interview process and you will be assessed by Partner within the business.
Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide individual feedback to unsuccessful applicants
PEOPLE KNOW EACH OTHER AND SOCIAL EVENTS ENCOURAGE THIS. THE GRADUATE PROGRAMME PROVIDES EXPERIENCE AND SUPPORT TO GET PROFESSIONALLY QUALIFIED AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY. THE COMPANY IS AUTONOMOUS AND STAFF ARE ENCOURAGED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS TO DEVELOP THEIR CAREERS.

My one month summer Internship at Montagu Evans far exceeded my expectations. The program was extremely well organised and the rotations across two different departments gave a practical insight into the varied opportunities within each discipline. We were given the opportunity to participate in current projects and even attend meetings with clients. The partners were accessible throughout and their guidance and feedback was invaluable. It was evident that those at the very top of the company take an active interest in the internship program.

GRADUATES
Many of our Partners and owners of the business joined as a graduate. We celebrate those that are ambitious, who enjoy a challenge and want to get involved.
You can take your career as far as you want to go.
"I feel very lucky to have started my career here, joining as a graduate and now a Partner running the team where it all began. I have always been encouraged to forge my own path within the partnership and supported along the way."
Josh Myerson, Head of Rating
"I've learnt my trade from some of our industry’s most experienced and respected figures at Monty's. They supported me and often asked me to take responsibility for things I felt were outside my comfort zone. Little did I know it was all about turning me into a Partner."
Robert Bower, Managing Partner
“I joined as a Graduate in 2011, and was promoted to Partner in 2019. I haven’t worked anywhere else, but I cannot envisage a more supportive, engaged or fun environment. The firm is always fully behind you, allowing you to concentrate on what matters.”
Will Seamer, Viability
“I joined in 2007, and my first achievement was to survive the APC…just! Why have I never left? It boils down to the sheer variety of opportunity that the firm offers. I've never been put into a box and have been supported to choose my own path. I honestly believe that level of autonomy and trust isn't anywhere else.”
Oliver Chivers, Valuation
"The ability to develop and progress has always been encouraged. Now a Partner myself, I recognise it was the breadth of opportunity afforded to me, the support and encouragement from a brilliant team, and the working with a varied range of great clients has allowed me to progress here.”
Fraser Littlejohn, Planning
